Anita Baker went back to court Friday to face the judge who threatened to put her in jail if she didn’t sign documents related to her divorce settlement with Walter Bridgforth.
The documents would have determined how much the singer owes her ex in music royalties. Baker did not attend her Wednesday deadline and refused to sign the documents Thursday.
Judge Lita Masini Popke didn’t send Baker to the slammer, but but instructed Baker, attorneys for both sides and a music contract expert to come to an agreement.
By Friday afternoon, all parties came together to create a process that eventually will decide how much Bridgforth is owed.
