There will be a free concert and health screening for families in Detroit today.
Award-winning artist Marvin Sapp, Brian Courtney Wilson and other gospel favorites will hit the stage for the third “Power To End Stroke” Gospel Tour, hosted by the American Stroke Association, a division of the American Heart Association.
The free event is today at Second Ebenezer Church, located at 14601 Dequindre Road in Detroit.
The purpose of the gospel tour is to raise awareness about stroke, the third leading cause of death among all Americans.
The free concert starts with a wide variety of health screenings provided by Detroit Medical Center at 5:30 p.m. followed by the gospel celebration at 7 p.m.
