The Bankable Thanks Job Fair & Business Expo will give Detroiters something extra to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. This free public event will offer a financial feast that will lead one to the bank and will take place Wednesday, November 24 from 10 am to 7 pm in downtown Detroits Dime Building, 719 Griswold, Executive Suite 820.
Attendees dont have to wait for Black Friday, when they can go green on Wednesday with job opportunities, business loans, credit repair assistance, homeownership possibilities, free healthcare help, and vendors to give them a head start on their holiday shopping.
Area employers seeking to fill over 200 positions in customer service, sales, light industrial, clerical, insurance agents and general labor will be in attendance. Prospective applicants are encouraged to dress for success and to bring current resumes.
The Detroit Microloan Program will show existing and aspiring entrepreneurs how they can receive up to $50,000 to expand or start a business. The government has set aside millions for small business ventures in Detroit. Participants will learn how to get a piece of the pie during this seminar that takes place from 11 am to noon.
Credit One will tell attendees how to get their personal credit in check and how to avoid being scammed by credit repair companies. This presentation will take place from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
Mind-Streams will help Detroiters achieve their dream of higher learning in a special presentation from 2 pm to 3 pm.
Benji Gates Realty will help attendees to reach their dream of homeownership with very little down and pay off their home within 2 years during this presentation taking place from 3:30 pm to 4 pm.
Those lacking medical and dental insurance can find out where to receive these services for free and receive a free list of places to go from 3:30 to 4 pm.
