For many people who feel there is no hope, there is Focus: HOPE.
On Wednesday, March 23rd, Focus: HOPE will offer education scholarships and no applicant who qualifies will be turned down because they lack finances.
It all happens during an open house from noon to 5pm that day.
The theme of this open house is called “Focus on Your Future.” 500 lucky applicants will be taken into the job training programs at Focus: HOPE, which are nationally recognized.
Those in the program will have the chance to learn how to operate certain machines, read blueprints, and develop other machine shop skills in the advanced manufacturing courses.
Those who enroll in the IT classes will have the chance to receive certification for to become desktop support professionals, network administrators or perhaps some other skilled work.
The trainee can also lock into a “college-track” program. Students can brush up on their math, reading, and computer skills.
Focus: HOPE President and CEO WIlliam F. Jones, Jr. says: “Undeserved people in this region need good jobs-but they can’t get them unless they receive outstanding training, as well as financial and child care support. ”
The open house will be held at the Focus: HOPE Conference Center located at 1400 Oakman Boulevard, in Detroit.
