DEKALB COUNTY, GA– Bishop Eddie Long reached a settlement and paid off the four young men who accused him of sexual misconduct to avoid being interviewed by the plaintiffs’ attorney, says former DeKalb County Prosecutor J. Tom Morgan.
“You can interpret that any way you want, but usually people do not settle cases unless there is some reason to do so,” said Morgan.
The former prosecutor says he is familiar with cases like this one.
“They had to reach a settlement if they did not want any statement by the Bishop on record,” said Morgan.
Long most likely paid the accusers millions, but no one can talk about it as part of the agreement, says Morgan.
