Freep – A Roseville man accused of stabbing his mother and leaving her body in a pool of blood in their home is to be sentenced July 20 after he pleaded guilty Friday to first-degree premeditated murder.

Charles Foresi, 39, pleaded guilty during a pretrial conference before Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Edward Servitto, according to court records.

Foresi’s trial was to start Tuesday.

He is to be sentenced to life in prison.
