The Engineering Society of Detroit said it will hold a record-setting job fair on Monday in Novi with 56 companies looking for fill more than 4,000 jobs.
Major companies — such as Dow Corning, DTE Energy, Yazaki North America and Visteon Corporation — and small businesses will be recruiting in the following areas: Architects, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Design, Energy, Electrical, Biomedical, Environmental, Aerospace, Transportation, Biofuels, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Programming, Technical and other engineering and technology related fields.
Prospective candidates should bring several copies of their updated resumes, as well as enter their resumes ahead of time into the ESD Job Bank. This is a free service designed to serve the employment needs of highly qualified engineers and technical professionals.
Cost to attend the job fair for non-members of ESD is $15 (which includes a one-year membership to ESD, entry into the job fair and the opportunity to network with corporate employers throughout Southeastern Michigan). Members of ESD can attend free of charge.
The fair runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Suburban Collection Showplace (formerly known as the Rock Financial Showplace) in Novi on Grand River Avenue.
