R. Kelly’s memoir, Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me and the blow that it will not be released next week. Set to be his piece De resistance, Kelly explained in the initial press relased that Soulacoaster would be written from his own personal perspective. “I’m tired of being misunderstood. I will show you the tears, fears, and sweat. I will open my heart and reveal the good in my life as well as all the drama. I want to tell it like it is.” Co-authored by celebrity biographer David Ritz, the book was meant to be an in-depth look at both Kells’ triumphs and the demons trapped in his closet. Despite Amazon pulling the book from their shelves, Kelly’s publisher, (Tavis Smiley’s) SmileyBooks insists: “R. Kelly’s upcoming memoir is indeed still coming out and is slated for a spring 2012 release, which is plenty of time for a title change.
Hopefully the memoir will be released next year, due to the release date being been pushed back, over & over since December 2009.
