Last month, we shared with you that Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond had asked a Georgia courtroom to give her full custody of their two children, on grounds that R&B star had repeatedly failed in his duties as a father. She cited examples such as not getting her permission before traveling with the kids, hiring nannies without her consent and approval, and falling behind on his $5,000 monthly payments (all things that he is required to do by law). Raymond also claims that Usher cancelled her Saks 5th Avenue credit card and failed to allow her custody of the children for a full two-week period in the summer of 2011.
TMZ now reports that Usher is not willing to let this slide and that he is in fact filing his own response regarding the dispute. He claims that the accusations made by Raymond are completely untrue and has asked a judge to deny her request for full custody, on grounds of false allegations.
Raymond has also made several attempts at legally forcing Usher into submitting a drug test, but has so far been denied every time. A trial has been set for February 27th. The couple currently still shares joint custody of the kids.
