Nick Cannon has paid tribute to his wife Mariah Carey, calling her his “hero” for looking after him during his recent health scare.
The actor, 31, suffered kidney failure while skiing in Aspen earlier this month and had to undergo emergency surgery in hospital.
Appearing at the BET Honors in Washington D.C on Saturday night, Nick did a spot of gushing about his diva wife.
Ahh, how nice. And it sounds like Mariah’s 3am soup runs more than made up for the fact that she was busy papping him in the hospital when the radio DJ/rapper/actor first fell ill.
On January 4th, the singer asked her fans to pray for her husband, before jumping into bed with him and posing for a slightly weird picture that she posted on Twitter.
Nick tweeted about his kidney drama earlier this month
Mariah wrote: “Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman.”
She then uploaded a picture of herself, clambered on top of him and feeding him a drink through a straw.
Mariah wrote alongside the snap: “This is us in the hospital—role reversal.
“Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.
“We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C.”
