    Keep cool during extreme heat conditions in and around the Detroit area. Also, many cities will distribute water and dry ice. Cooling centers are listed below.

    Check you local city web site to find a cooling center or water distribution center close to your home.

    Westland

    Mayor William R. Wild announces that in response to the extreme heat, temperatures in the 90’s and nearing 100 degrees, the City of Westland has opened several cooling centers around the city.
