Taylor police are trying to determine how a sixth grader ended up with a backpack filled with $20,000 in cash.

Police tell FOX 2 administrators at Sixth Grade Academy called authorities Monday after a teacher noticed the 12-year-old girl handing out $100 bills to her classmates.

The girl claims she got the money from a neighbor who is also a student. Police are now trying to track down the money trail.
