Lauryn Hill Facing Eviction
Already facing jail time for tax evasion, Lauryn Hill is now facing eviction for not paying her rent. Her landlord has taken the case to court and is demanding the singer pays the rent bill or faces eviction from the property, according to TMZ.
The former Fugees front woman allegedly stopped making payments on her mansion in South Orange, New Jersey last month, that she’s been renting since 2009.
She faces up to three years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of failing to file her returns between 2005 and 2007.
A judge will announce her sentence on April 22nd, but she has asked for probation instead of jail time so she can work towards paying off her tax debts.
