A Homeland Security Officer was shot Monday morning on Detroit’s west side.
Sources on the scene told Local 4’s Shawn Ley they heard approximately 12 gunshots just before 7 a.m. They said the federal agent witnessed a couple of men pushing what is believed to be a stolen van up the driveway across the street from his home. When he asked the men what they were doing they opened fire. The Homeland Security Agent returned fire. He was shot in the forearm – but it not clear whether any of the suspects were hit.
