Since Detroit Pershing high school teacher, Tiffani Eaton was fired after a cell phone video surfaced of her breaking up a fight between two students with a broom, the community has quickly gathered around her and supported her. Eaton has made it clear she isn’t going down without a fight because it was been reported that she is hiring a lawyer to help her get her job back.
Yesterday, she spoke out for the first time since the incident and Fox 2 has the exclusive on the interview and now Fox 2 is reporting that Ms. Eaton has her job back.
According to Fox 2, Education Achievement Authority spokesperson Chrystal Wilson says after a review of the incident, the EAA decided to reinstate Tiffani Eaton as a teacher at Pershing High School. Wilson also said Eaton will receive retro pay from the date of her dismissal and will have the option of being reassigned to another school within the district.
