    Reps Hold News Conference At Capitol On Free Flow Of Information Act Of 2013By now, everyone knows that Congressman John Conyers’ campaign was thrown into jeopardy because of multiple people collecting nominating petitions for him. However, it turned out they were not registered voters, which they were required to be as petition collectors. As a result, the Wayne County Clerk said Conyers was more than 400 signatures short of the 1,000 needed to appear on the August primary ballot and on Tuesday, Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett ruled Conyers will not be on the August 5th primary ballot.

    However, despite this mess, multiple reports say Conyers said he has no intention of retiring and a legal challenge from team Conyers is expected to drop in the next 48 hours.
