Apparently, it’s not okay to Photoshop another picture of your face over the body shot from your album cover – and use that new image as cover art for your new single.
Mariah Carey learned this the hard way.
Shortly after the cover of her new single, “You Don’t Know What to Do,” hit the web, fans pointed out how her artwork appears to be a replica of the “Me. I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse” cover…but with a new shot of Carey’s face slapped over the previous one.
Mariah did eventually respond on Twitter, saying the Photoshop and artwork decision was not hers. She tweeted:
“That definitely was NOT my selection for the cover… ugh!”
