Beyonce isn’t the only star who’s bringing music to Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans this February. Another NFL-sanctioned event, the 2013 Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, is happening Friday, February 1, and will feature Fantasia, Donnie McClurkin and more.
Kirk Franklin has been tapped to host the celebration, which will also include performances from gospel stars Bishop Morton and Lecrae. The NFL Players Choir will also hit the stage, making a joyful noise under the direction of one of the evening’s headliners.
As usual, a portion of the proceeds from the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration will be donated to national and local charities. The event takes place just days before the big game, which is scheduled for February 3.
